Sacred Istanbul

Home to a giant mosaic of ethnic groups, religions, and civilizations, Istanbul is one the only places in the world where you can visit synagogues, mosques, catholic and orthodox churches in one day. This tour is for anyone interested in culture, architecture, and religion.

On this tour, you will start visiting the unique architecture of an Armenian Gregorian Church (Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church of Galata), followed by a beautiful Roman Catholic Church (Church of Santa Maria Draperis) and a Greek Orthodox Church. After visiting the churches, and learning more about the Levant culture, it's time to explore a former Jewish Synagogue & Museum. The Sephardic Jews were another society that played an important role in the development of culture and business in Istanbul. Next, we will visit one of the oldest mosques in Istanbul (Arap Camii) and head to the Russian Orthodox Roof-top church.

As an optional, you can finish the tour watching a Whirling Dervishes ceremony at Galata Mevlevihanesi.
