Your Cappadocia Undiscovered tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel around 09:45. We will drive to Soganli Valley, one of the most secluded and tranquil valleys in Cappadocia. We begin our hike along one side of the valley, visiting many cave churches and we return along the other side of the valley to the quaint village. After exploring the valley, we will have lunch.Our lunch stop will be in a lovely garden surrounded by apple trees where you will try the cuisine of the small Turkish villages. We then drive to Keslik Monastery. Settled in a lush valley, the monastery's cave churches feature biblical paintings and are the largest. the rock-cut dining hall in Cappadocia. We will make a quick stop at Taskinpasa Medrese and then we will walk around the Mustafapasa, learning about the population exchange from 1924, the wealthy merchants and locals who once thrived in this town. We will also see The Monastery of St. Nicholas in Mustafapasa, which has been recently renovated to its original appearance dating back to the 20th century. The most unique of this monastery is the icons on the outer wall have been brought in from Greece. We will see in the courtyard a small cemetery and above the church some pigeon houses and amazing views over the landscape. Our last stop will be Three Beauties which are the most famous fairy chimneys located outside of Urgup. We will then drive back to your hotel. |
